إِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُون

Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return. — Qur’an 2:156

Funeral Services
Suleymaniye Mosque is committed to supporting families with care and guidance during times of loss and hardship.

We recognize that the passing of a loved one is among the most difficult and emotionally challenging moments a family can experience. In Islam, we are reminded to place our trust in Allah’s (S.W.T.) decree and to turn to prayer, seeking mercy and forgiveness for those who have returned to Him.

During these moments, Suleymaniye Mosque offers spiritual guidance and religious support, helping families navigate the Islamic funeral process with dignity, clarity, and compassion. Our focus is on providing direction, prayer, and reassurance while honoring the sacred nature of Islamic funeral rites.

Suleymaniye Mosque remains devoted to serving the community with empathy, remembrance, and thoughtful guidance when it is needed most.

Salatul Janaza (Prayer for the deceased)

Salatul Janaza is performed in the mosque in our spacious prayer halls for both men and women.  Muslim and Non-Muslim friends and relatives are welcome to attend the prayer service and offer condolences to family members.  Conservative attire is observed inside the masjid.
